Shadow Making Machines.

"Light has a source, darkness has none.

Darkness is the ground of light, and when they meet there is shadow. All that exists in light, casts shadow, even the mundane and the everyday.
The brighter the light, the darker the shadow.

Shadow Making Machines are lights that embrace the darkness.
Commonplace objects become ambivalent and anxious when discerned through a shroud of shade. The comfort and familiarity of the mundane has been displaced by vaguely sinister apprehension.

Jung has said that each one of us has a shadow side. That “One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.” ("The Philosophical Tree" 1945)

The Shadow Making Machines bring the darkness in everyday life to light.
They urge us to closely look within the shadow to ascertain the light. "
